JohnMCCAFFREYIt is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of a great man, John McCaffrey, (Retired Police Officer 1957 - 1987) John sadly passed away in Fairfield General Hospital on 28th May 2020, aged 86 years. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Sheila. Beloved and treasured father to Sian, Neil, Paul and Alison and his wider family, Nigel, Grant, Darren, Chris and Joanne. A specially cherished Grandad to Robert and Andrew, April and Rohan, Jack and Jodie. And an ever loving Grandad also to Samantha and Anya, Jack and Louisa, Thomas and Greg, Ross, Josh and Samantha, Isobel and Tom. Great Grandad to Gracie, William and Oliver. John was a very much loved and respected father in law and a very good friend to all who knew him, he will be very greatly missed. John will be received into Whitworth Cemetery for a graveside blessing and burial on Wednesday 10th June at 10.30am. The cortege will leave from John's home at 10.15am, pausing for reflection at St Anselm's Church and school. A requiem mass memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held in due course.
