David , known to many as big Dave .. The Queen a second home to him for many years .. a place to gather with friends ,Syd , Mick, Les, Lee , Simon plus a few others if they could squeeze onto the seat next to them.

Commandeering the best table in the house opposite the bar , was a favourite where myself and staff gave them special treatment with table service.. A group of genuine friends who loved each other's company and a laugh ...whilst enjoying a pint ...
David you were more than a customer to me , you were my friend too always very supportive ...so many of us will miss you .. you are someone we will remember fondly ... a big guy with a big heart...💙 Sleep tight David you were taken too soon 😞 but you will always be remembered.. in my heart and In the hearts of all the friends you made xx

On behalf of me, Andrea Trigg and my Dad, Syd Trigg aka Richard.

Dad and Dave spoke most days, and their friendship was clearly something very special. They shared so many good times, plenty of laughs, and, of course, more than their fair share of drinks.

There were the many times in The Queen, where I’m sure a few stories were told and created and a lot of beer was enjoyed.

Then there were the trips — Berlin and Australia — creating memories that I know Dad treasured. And the weekends in Burgh le Marsh, watching the RAF, eating fish and chips, and, naturally, drinking even more beer.
Dad absolutely loved these times and has amazing memories.

When you look back at all those memories, what stands out most is the friendship. Dave was someone Dad could talk to, laugh with, travel with and simply enjoy life with. He was there through the ordinary days as well as the special ones, and that is what makes a friendship truly meaningful.

So, David, thank you. Thank you for being such an amazing friend to Dad, for all the laughs, the adventures, the beers, the fish and chips, the breakfasts, and most of all, for the friendship you shared.

You will be greatly missed, but the memories you made together will always remain.

Thank you, Big Dave 🍻
Andrea Trigg
