Helen EddieMCAVOYand the whole family of the late HELEN, wish to express their sincere thanks to relatives, friends and neighbours for all their support and help received, particularly in the recent weeks. We were overwhelmed by the many cards and floral tributes. We are so grateful for the excellent care that Helen received from South Lanarkshire Home Care staff and Rutherglen Community Carers and for the attentiveness of the Social Work Department during her long illness. To the staff of Walker House, where Helen moved to in the last year of her life, we extend our warmest thanks for the unstinting care and attention that Helen received during her time there and in her final days. No praise is high enough for the kindness and exceptional attention that Helen received in Walker House and for the way that staff there were able to support the whole family at a difficult time. Our thanks also to the Rev. Jack Drummond of Rutherglen West and Wardlawhill Parish Church for a service which captured so well the spirit of Helen and put into such telling words the deep commitment Helen had for her family all the days of her all-too-short life. We are also grateful to the Co-operative Funeral services for their help and the dignity which they brought to such a sad occasion for all the family. Finally, to the many, many folk, from all walks of life, who joined us to celebrate Helen's life last Friday morning at the church service, our heartfelt thanks.
