ThomasMCARTHURMr Thomas Leonard ‘Len’ McArthur, of Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully in Dove Court, Burnley, on Sunday, August 29, aged 75. Len became an apprentice welder after leaving school at Huncoat Colliery, then went to work for different companies, working abroad in Germany, Tunisia, Belgium, Indonesia, as well as travelling all over the country. He liked playing snooker and pool in his younger days, and also liked a game of darts, and reading. He was an avid Liverpool supporter all his life. Len leaves behind his dearly loved wife Christine, and much loved daughters Kirstie and Ashley, and sons-in law Paul and Dean. He was a very proud grandad to Mason, Toby, Dawson, and Ciaran. He also leaves his sister Jean, and his nephews and nieces. Len will be very sadly missed by all his family, his many friends, and all who knew him. The funeral will be held on Friday, September 10, at 10.20am at Accrington Crematorium, led by Kathy Unsworth. Family flowers only please; donations if desired to Dementia UK. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Oswaldtwistle.
