NeilMATTHEWSOn Monday 8th May 2023, at home in Sowerby Bridge, Neil, formerly of Humberston, aged 56, sadly passed away. Beloved partner of Sue, loving dad of Ryan, Luke and stepdad of Isaac, much loved son of Terry and the late Val, much loved brother of Shaun, sister-in-law Helen and cherished uncle of Emma. Nephew, cousin and friend to many, he will be missed by all who knew him. A service to celebrate Neil's life will take place on Friday 2nd June 2023 at 2.15pm at Parkwood Crematorium, Halifax and afterwards at The Shay, Halifax Town Football Club. Family flowers only please and donations in Neil's memory may be made to 'Action for Sport' via their website or at the crematorium.

A very sad day hearing this news about Neil. He was an important part of the successful Grimsby Town Juniors squad in the early 1980's. An accomplished player, he later went on to have a successful career as a coach. Neil was a really first class individual and it was a pleasure to be associated with him. Lovely memories. My thoughts are with all of his family at this time.
