Lou,

You were a true gentleman. I loved your company and spent so much time with you over the years.

From watching me play my very first match at junior school, to those legendary Monday nights at Norden Cricket with my dad and the team — they still ask about you now, especially Alan the steward.

You gave me my first job straight from school at the Daily Mirror, and you even trusted me with your car for my driving test — after being brave (or mad!) enough to give me lessons in the first place.

You were a great role model, always so modest.

Mike, Cathy and your grandchildren must be bursting with pride.

Love you, Lou.

A man of great pride and integrity, anyone blessed to have known him will miss him dearly, I for one will miss our chats about politics and him moaning that I had eaten all his best biscuits.
Rest easy pal.xx
