Gerard EdwardLOHANSuddenly in hospital on 7th June 2020 Gerard Edward, aged 66 years. Dearly loved son of Patrick and Bridget, long deceased and now reunited, dear brother of Richard and of John Francis recently deceased, much loved brother-in-law of Patricia and of Una (deceased), dearly loved uncle of Ann-Marie, Claire, Gemma, Katie and John and sadly missed by their spouses Michael, Andrew, Daniel and Gail, and great uncle of Sean, Joseph, Malachy, Flynn, Gabriel, Ella, Theo, Billy-Grace, Clara and Raphael. Greatly missed by many cousins and their families in England and Ireland. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends and by all those who cared for him in his home in High Lane and in many other settings in Stockport over the last four decades. As a Requiem Mass is not presently possible there will be a Blessing of Commendation of Gerard at the door of St Peter and St Philip's RC Church Hazel Grove at 11am on 30th June 2020 followed by a Service of Internment at Southern Cemetery at 11.30am. Family flowers only but donations may be sent to the mental health charity MIND (www.mind.org.uk) There will be a Memorial Mass for Gerard at a future point in time when his life and passing can be more safely and more widely remembered. I’m remember my first few weeks at Woodside being told your sacked every morning but getting to know you has a person we became close and you became to have a friendship in house we had so many laughs together in the house and when I supported you at dialysis I will miss your Irish songs you sang to me miss taking you for lunch at the blueberry cafe for your cheese and onion toasties and tea where we would sit and chat about life always telling me how you missed and loved all of your family you will truly have a place in my heart ged forever but now it’s your time to be loved and remembered and to be cherished by your loved ones in heaven going to miss you ged X
