SheilaLOFTHOUSEWith great sadness we announce the death of Sheila Lofthouse who died peacefully at Royal Blackburn Hospital on 11th April. Beloved mother to Lesley, Jackie, Tracey, John, Terri and Michael and devoted grandma to Rhys, Jessica, Ethan, Max, Ruby, Milly and Jules. A dear sister to Joan, Harold and the late Elaine. Sheila's life revolved around her children, she loved to be surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. In later life she trained as a midwife, excelling in her profession. At Queens Park Hospital she was lucky enough to find a lovely group of friends with whom she shared good times and holidays. Sheila was a rare beauty inside and out, full of warmth and kindness, she was genuine to the core and only knew goodness. We had the blessing to call her our mother. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The funeral will take place on May 4 at 10.20 am Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington. Donations to the Jules Lofthouse Rehabilitation Fund on the day of the funeral or via a family member. Jules is mum's grandson who requires lifelong rehabilitation from a childhood illness.
