I have known Fanny for 45 years. We met when I lived with her at the very start of my teaching career. A more supportive and inspirational colleague I could not have had. My husband and I met very interesting people from all walks of life through Fanny and I always looked forward to her dropping in on her way to the canal, usually with cakes to eat with the tea and chat. More recently we have loved her annual visits to us here in Norfolk, her last was 2 weeks prior to her passing. She was full of life and energy and although she has declared herself OLD now that she is 90 years there was no dulling of any of her senses. I am so thankful that we were able to share that time with her and we will miss her.
