FrederickLEWISof Haslingden passed away peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on June 27, aged 89.
He leaves his wife Vera of 64 years, son Steven and his wife Emma, daughter Jacqueline and her husband Peter,
son Peter and his partner Emma, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by them all.
Fred worked for many years at L Whittaker’s and then at Winfields until his retirement.
He played football for Goodshaw United, Helmshore United and also for Haslingden Youth Club,
which he was very involved with - becoming a youth leader there until it closed.
Fred also enjoyed playing cricket.
Fred’s funeral will be held at St Peter’s Church on Monday, July 14 at 1pm followed by burial
at Haslingden Cemetery.
Donations in his memory are welcomed for Rossendale Hospice.
