AdrianeLEEMINGAfter a short stay in Springhill Nursing Home on Friday, July 30, aged 89, Adriane Leeming - nee Thompson, of Ascot Way, Accrington, passed away with her children by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Kenneth Leeming, treasured Mum to Martin (Alison) and Karen (Mark), much-loved Grandma to Daniel, Joe and the late Ashley, dearly-loved sister to the late Joyce Bradbury (Canada), special Auntie to Susan, Michael, Paul and families, and good friend to many. Adriane was born in Todmorden on June 2, 1932, to George and Alice Thompson. She worked most of her working life as a civil servant at the Department of Health and Social Security, from where she took early retirement so she could enjoy more time with her grandchildren. She had many hobbies over the years and loved socialising. She was a lifelong member of St Paul’s Church and Mothers’ Union, Accrington. She was well-travelled and loved holidays, both in this country and abroad. The funeral service will take place at 10.45am on Friday, August 13, at St Paul’s CE Church, Plantation Street, Accrington, administered by Rev. Paul McNally, followed by a service at 11.40am at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington. Family flowers only, but donations are welcomed for British Heart Foundation c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
