KEENCOLIN KEEN Passed away very unexpectedly on Monday 7th May 2018 aged 79 years. Colin was born in Ramsgate on 30th November 1938 to Gladys and Edmund Keen. On 13th May 1967 he married Dorothy née Coombs, a seamstress. He had a very diverse career, studying early on in his life to become a doctor and going on to work for various companies in the Thanet area, a retired welder for Harveys, a long distance lorry driver for Stelrad, a member of the notorious "Hit Squad" (Clean up Team) for Thanet District Council and a life long resident of Ramsgate, Colin is survived by his wife Dorothy, his children Lee and Kristina, grandchildren Kieran, Aaran and Hayden and great grandchildren Bryan and Charlotte. He is predeceased by his brother Brian and his sisters Gillian Burnett and Jacqueline Brown. He was a devoted father and a public spirited character. He enjoyed volunteering for the Ramsgate Division of the St. John Ambulance and was an avid member of the Ramsgate & Deal Gun Clubs. He also enjoyed fishing, supporting Arsenal Football Club and travelling extensively overseas. He was not a spiritual man in any way but allowed others the freedom of their choices. He will be deeply missed by his family & friends and all who knew him. The Funeral Service will take place at Ramsgate Cemetery Chapel on Monday 21st May at 12 noon. Colin wished for donations to the Intensive Therapy Unit at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital c/o H. R. Palmer, Funeral Dircetors, Ramsgate.
