JohnKEARNEYOn behalf of all his many family, with deepest sorrow, we mourn the passing of John Kearney at the Derby Royal Hospital on 6th September 2020. John was a very special person to all who knew him, very many too, will be the friends and former colleagues touched and hurt by John's loss. John leaves a void in our hearts that time may begin to heal, but never fully repair. Due to current circumstances, a private funeral service for John will be held with immediate family only at Trent Valley on Tuesday 29th September at 2.30pm. Flowers are welcome, and can be delivered to the Co-operative Funeralcare in Allenton. Tel: 01332 349925.

It’s been four years now since you sadly left us. Hardly a day goes by that I wouldn’t say to my wife “Johnny would have sung this” referencing how John used to alter lyrics to popular songs and have us in stitches. Naughty boy, how could we forget you.
R.I.P. pal.

Devastated to learn of the passing of a real good mate, 'Sprog'. Met John in the Exeter Arms, Derby when I was still in the Royal Navy about 1983 and we teamed up. He loved the craic and was a really genuine lad. When I was at a very low ebb and was discharged from the RN on medical grounds, John was there for me and we have remained in touch ever since. Last time I saw him was April 2019 and should have met again in April 2020 but Covid 19 put a block on that, as I could not travel from Ireland. We went through the lot Johnny boy, you were one in a million and I have often tried phoning you recently but when I got constant messaging service I feared the worst! How sad, my missus, just shed a tear when I told her and so have I. I also often told my lads what a good mate you were. To Glyn, Clive, Tim and all family members, I share your loss and pain. The World has lost a genuine person and Heaven has gained an Angel. God Bless and Rest Easy.
