To my wonderful friend Matthew Jones, growing up watching wrestling and playing the latest computer games and watching Newport County in the Beazer Homes Premier league will stay with me forever.

A sad end to a gifted man. You will be missed mate!

It was a privilege to be friends with someone who was so engaged with so many aspects of life - and whether he was talking about REM, wrestling, family, The Simpsons, scammers, work or politics, Matt approached every subject with enthusiasm and sincerity, as well as being blunt and hilarious. He was the master of the creative insult, but he saved them for the politicians and bands who deserved them - he had such warmth for those he was close to in life. My thoughts are with everyone Matt leaves behind.
