Died on April 21st, 2026 in St David's hospice, Llandudno.
Born in Ruthin and raised in Bontuchel, Sharon was the youngest daughter of Glyn and Norah Jones, and sister to Nerys and Clifford.
Following her travels and university, Sharon dedicated herself to education. She became a headteacher of Meole Brace Primary School in Shrewsbury, and later served as an Education Adviser for Shropshire.
Sharon later left education to devote herself full-time to mountaineering. A qualified Mountain Leader, she was happiest when camping, canoeing and exploring the peaks. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
