RobertJACKSONPeacefully at home on Monday, July 12, Bob passed away surrounded by his loving family, aged 82 years. He was married to devoted and loving wife Marjorie for 61 years, loving father of David, Ian and Elizabeth, father-inlaw of Gill, Sharon and Paul, and brother of the late Carol. He was the cherished grandad of Coby, Abigail, Calum, Jake and Nicola, Bob was also uncle to Philip, the late Anthony, Steven, Howard, Nigel and a good friend to many. On leaving school Bob did an apprenticeship at Howard and Bulloughs and was a jig borer in the Toolroom, where he worked for many years. He then tried his hand at market trading, and in his retirement really enjoyed looking after his grandchildren. Crown Green Bowling was his summer hobby, playing for Burnley Road Bowling Club, where he won many trophies. In the winter his time was spent at Burnley Football Club where he was a season ticket holder. The family would like to thank Pals Medical Centre, the district nurses, and Ribble Homecare for all their help and support during Bob’s illness. Bob’s funeral will take place at Accrington crematorium on Friday, July 23 at 11.40am. Family flowers only, but donations are welcomed for the Rosemary Cancer Foundation c/o funeral director.
