PhivosIZAMISIt is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Phivos Izamis, known to many as Phil or Popeye, who passed away while in Gloucester Royal Hospital on 15th March 2026, aged 86 years. A beloved husband to the late Anne Izamis, a father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Phivos was well respected and known to many, having owned and run several catering establishments for over 40 years in Cheltenham, before retiring to a life of farming.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday 8th April at 1pm, at The Priory Church of St Mary, Deerhurst, GL19 4BX. Following a private burial, a reception in celebration of Phivos' life will be held at Clavell and Hind GL51 9SY from 2pm onwards. All are welcome.

My heartfelt condolences to you all on the passing of Uncle Phivos. I have such fond memories of him, and of time spent with him and Aunty Anne over the years. Thinking of you all and sending love at this sad time.
