SarahHUGHESWe regret to announce the death of Sarah, who passed away in the early hours of Sunday 9th November 2025 at Glanrhyd Hospital, Bridgend, South Wales. She died peacefully in her sleep following a rapid decline in her health over the previous 2 months.
Sarah was born in Derry Northern Ireland, on 13th August 1931 to Johnny and Matilda McCloskey and moved to South Wales after marrying Edgar Hughes (deceased). She leaves behind her son David, having lost her daughter Olwen in 2021 to cancer.
The funeral will take place on Friday 5th December, 2025.
12.00 Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bridgend.
1.15pm Cremation at Coychurch Crematorium.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the National Autistic Society.
