I worked with Mick when I first started at Shepway Council with the Highways team in 1998. What a superb bloke. Such a dry sense of humour. I'll always remember the piece of lead he used to keep on a string, which he would leave on the desk of anyone off sick, so they could officially "swing the lead". I had no idea he had passed away.

I only knew Mick for a short while, despite this I felt very comfortable around him and he welcomed me into the family also making several comments regarding this, I grew very attached to him and miss him very much, rest in peace Mick
