CatherineHUGHES(Monkseaton) Catherine Jardine (nee McCheyne) known as Rena. On May 19th, 2019, died peacefully at The Lawns Care Home, Monkseaton. Rena was the beloved wife of the late Jack Hughes, much loved mum to Lorna and Marshall, grandmother to Catrina, David, Lauren, Isla and Scott and great-grandmother to Shay. The crematorium service for the family only will take place at 2.15pm on 29th May followed by a service at Cullercoats Methodist Church at 2.45pm. Family flowers only, but donations in lieu may be given to Alzheimer's Research UK. A plate will be available in church for this purpose. The family's grateful thanks go to the entire staff at The Lawns for the kindness, care and compassion shown to Rena throughout her seven years of residence there.
