Ivor WilliamHUGHES(DOCTOR) 27th September 2013 Doctor Ivor William Hughes died peacefully, aged 77. Much loved Husband of Barbara, Father of Mark, John, Adam and Adrian and loving Grandfather. The Service will be held at St. Michael's Church, Dowhills Road, Blundell Sands L23 8SP on Thursday 10th October 2013 at 11 a.m. No flowers please but donations to St. John's Ambulance and St. Michael's Church.

A rather late tribute to Ivor, however I have fond memories of our boyhood years. Ivor lived at Solar Rd and I lived next door. We were born the same year, 1936. We played tennis together through our teenage years. We were very good friends. I left for Canada in 1953 and unfortunately we lost contact. However, I never forgot those days.
They have a special place in my heart.
