MaryHOWARDPeacefully in hospital on 7th August, 2019 Aged 92 Years Born in Cardiff in 1927 Mary studied language and history in Liverpool, where she met her late husband Jim Howard. Having moved from Liverpool to Stoke-On-Trent Mary, Jim and their five children settled in Accrington. Mary was a teacher all her life and taught the reception age group at St. Anne's R.C Primary school for many years, retiring in 1983. Mary was a longstanding member of the Rossendale Ladies Choir and accompanied them to numerous festivals in the UK and Europe, Mary will be greatly missed by her five children, Philip, Anne, Clare, Frances & Pauline, her seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her sister Rose Anne and a large extended family. A Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday 21st August 10:00 am at St. Anne's RC Church Accrington, followed by a committal at Accrington Crematorium Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired to WaterAid or Crisis c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington, BB5 6DR.
