Well Jean, you are leaving us all with many happy memories never to be forgotten. Loved by everyone as Mum, Nanny, Grandma,Friend, Always willing to help anyone who needed it. I remember our younger life at home with Mum and Dad, 'music, music, music' you playing the piano with family and neighbours having a good old 'singsong.' You played the piano for many years entertaining at Pensioners clubs and playing at the local Church, but the memories of our 'singsongs' at family gatherings still linger.
But I'm sure "Play up Sky Blues" is your favourite piece of music as you always sign off with it, so Thank You Jean for the cherished memories, from your brother Alan and family and families in Australia, bye PUSB!

I remember Jean when she was Jean Kelly, late 1940's and living in Trentham Road in Hillfields. She was 11 years older than me, and used to take me out for walks in my pram when she was in her teens. She had a friend called Beattie, I can't remember her second name. I remember her Mum, Mrs Kelly, very well. We lived at my Granny Johnson's house, at number 71.
I came across Jean many years later, in the 80's, when she was singing as Moira and Jean. They used to come to Gilbert Richards Centre, where I worked , to sing for older day centre users. We recognised each other, after all those years.
My condolences to all her family. Lovely memories of a very lovely lady.
