Carrie, when I think of you, I think of colour.
Big, bright, beautiful and bold.
From the shades of orange you liked to wear.
To the colourful hats worn on your hair.
The shining diamond pictures you’d carefully made.
The unique handmade cards you thoughtfully gave.
The glittering craft packs you’d send to your great nieces and nephews and the joy it gave you to see their smiles shine through.
The sparkling displays you made at the front of your house and the generous things you’d like to give out.
The bright boxes and crackers you made at seasonal events.
And the bingo caller with a heartfelt presence.
The regular visits at Grans on Saturday afternoons, with lunch, and quizzes and colouring boiled eggs.
You enjoyed golden biscuits and cakes and a big family dinner.
You loved distinctive music and shows and a good drink down the bar.
You loved nature and caring for pets and kept dogs to hamster and bearded dragons.
Your organisation on social media sites helped grab a bargain to bring others delight.
Although you often stayed within your home, you loved hearing stories and requesting photos about family fun.
The Woolpack was your local, for a drink and a chat, and at the bar with your pet you regularly sat.
You were a friend to many and an aunt to me and are now with the stars sparkling and free.
You may now be gone, but your colour forever shines on.

With Love Stacie x
