John MichaelHEALEYOn 3rd June 2019 in hospital, aged 72 years. Beloved husband, dad, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Former teacher at Elm Street Primary School in Middleton. Service will be held at the Parish Church of St Leonard on Wednesday 26th June, at 11.00am, followed by a private committal. Family flowers only, please, donations welcome to 'Cure Parkinson's Trust' c/o S Wellens & Sons, 121 Long Street, Middleton, M24 6DL (tel 0161 643 2677), to whom all enquiries should be made.

We were young teachers together at Elm Street School in the early 70s. John taught Juniors, I taught infants. In later life we always had a chat and a catch up when we met in Middleton. John was a committed teacher and a true gentleman. Thank you for all you gave to Education and to generations of children. RIP
