Kathryn MaryHAWORTHof Fairhill Terrace, Helmshore, passed away in Danesmoor Care Home on Sunday, June 29, aged 76.

She was the eldest of five children. With four brothers, she was the only daughter of Tom and Gladys Nuttall
(also from Helmshore). She met her husband Robert (Bobby) Haworth in 1966 at Helmshore Methodist Church,
and they married in 1970. They had three children together, Mark, Joanne and Stephen.
Kathryn also leaves behind seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

Kathryn attended Helmshore Primary School and Westholme School in Blackburn.
She was a member and organist at Helmshore Methodist Church and Haslingden Methodist Church
for over 55 years, where she played at many wedding and funeral services.
She was also the treasurer for these churches for many years.
She was involved in fundraising for Action for Children and countless other church events.
She was a talented knitter and seamstress, making many rose queen dresses. She also crocheted blankets,
selling them at the Haslingden Arts and Crafts Fair in aid of the Church.
Kathryn started her working career in the District Bank and after having children, she worked in various local shops and bakeries before working for Norweb in Rawtenstall and Haslingden.
She retired as company secretary for Caspro Entertainments.
Kathryn will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her, especially for her devotion to her family
and her talents on the church organ.

Her funeral will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Thursday, July 17 at 3.15pm.

Family flowers only, but donations towards Action for Children will be appreciated.
