Abdulla DainHASSANHASSAN(Abdulla((Dain ey)(C.I.A.C On Monday, April 14, 2008 we gathered at Alice St. Mosque to give our respects and pay tribute to our suddenly departed good friend Abdulla Hassan. Dainey had served Cardiff International Athletic Club as a player, committee man and lifelong supporter, also for over 30 years he served as Club President. Our ancestors were Arab, African, Portugese, Caribbean, Irish and from many other corners of the world; but on this day we were all proud Welshmen. We buried you facing Mecca and Sheik Said spoke strong, good words at your graveside. Your former clubmate's Sammy John, George Ernest, Alec Neil, Arthur Duarte, Kenny Khan, Leslie Neil, Gus Campbell, Tony Austin, Dukey Wellington, Tiger Borde, Dai Bishop, Eric, Nino and et al.. were all there to honour your memory. We returned to the Yemeni Community Centre for traditional food and later on raised a glass of "Dark" to you in the Docks Cons. Salem Alaikum, Nos Da and Rest in Peace. C.I.A.C Old Boys.
