Uncle Chris wasn’t really my uncle but second cousin, but neither of us took any notice of that! He and my mum - Liz - grew up together and it was his influence that persuaded her and my grandma to move to Austrey over 30 years ago. In my youth my abiding memory was hearing how he’d rolled yet another company car into a Warton ditch! As an adult I admired him as a kind, witty and clever man. I’ll cherish our occasional lunches and catch-up calls, especially during lockdown. Rest In Peace Uncle Chris.

What an amazing person Chris was, he was so helpful tome when I ran my own business, I feel so lucky that I knew him. Sending my thoughts and best wishes to he family and friends, so I cant make the funeral.
