HAROLD'Jack' BOWYER From Fontmell Park, Ashford, died peacefully at The Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading on the 13th January aged 88. He was born in Cambridge in June 1920 where he grew up with his sisters Marjorie May and Audrey Jean. For a number of years he worked at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington and spent most of his working life with the Civil Service retiring in 1980 at the age of 60. In the 1940s he met Peggy Hatt whom he later married and set up home in Ashford. Jack was also a prominent member of the local Masonic Lodges where he will be greatly missed. His funeral will take place at Woking Crematorium at 11.00am, 5 February, with arrangements by Lodge Brothers, Ashford, Middx. The family has requested flowers from close family and donations to the Royal Masonic Beneveloment Institute.
