Kevin Paul 'Kev'GRIMESGRIMES Kevin Paul 'Kev' It is with great sadness that the family of The Late Kevin Paul Grimes 'Kev' ask us to announce his passing.

Sunrise 17th June 1976 Sunset 5th February 2026 Aged 49

Kev was a thoughtful, articulate and deeply caring man, known for his efficiency, focus and quiet strength. Family meant everything to him, and he shared especially close bonds with Lucy and Sophie his beautiful daughters, always putting those he loved first.

He always prioritised the things Lucy and Sophie loved and had a wonderful way of making them feel truly special. If they wanted to sing in the church choir, he would proudly sit and listen, simply so they felt supported and encouraged. Whatever interested them, interested him too, he made it his mission to be fully involved in everything they did.

Reliable in both work and life, he was a natural problem solver, full of bright ideas and a steady presence to those around him.

The Colour Purple was his favourite film, making it especially meaningful that Kev and Tracy his partner, happened to come across the stage show while in New York, with it playing on Broadway at that very time.

A devoted son to Marion and Stephen (deceased) and brother to Stephen, Michael and Ree, he will be remembered for his kindness, integrity and gentle heart. He will be greatly missed.

Kev's final farewell journey will take place Friday 6th March 2026 for 11:30am with a service at St Anne Stanley Church Liverpool L13 3AE

Followed by an interment at Allerton Cemetery for 1pm at Allerton Cemetery Woolton Road L19 5NF

The family have asked for family flowers only please.

All enquiries can be made by contacting Butterflies Rising Funeral Care 37-39 Mill Lane L12 7HY 0151 345-4340

I was really saddened to hear of Kevs passing. I met him in the plumbing evening class and he was always available to help anyone who needed support . He often spoke proudly and with much love for his partner and his daughters.
When the course finished, the class formed a plumbing support group “Plumbing Mates’ to offer advice if anyone needed it and he often posted excellent instructions and info. Kev was a really kind and genuinely nice guy and will be missed in the plumbing group.

Sending sincere condolences to the family and know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Always be blessed with the special memories you have of your Kevin, he was so proud of you all. X
