John AlanGODFREYJohn passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family Thursday 1st August 2019. Born 9 November 1944, Staines, Middlesex, he lived in Ashford, with his beloved wife of 54 years, Joy. John was a loyal family man - a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and will be truly missed by all. A retired police officer, John was a patriotic man and spent his retirement with Joy and his family, pottering in his garden, DIY, collecting stamps and coins and walking his faithful companion Troy. John was an avid reader and in quiet moments you'd find his nose in a good book. Funeral will be held Friday 6th September, 2pm at Hanworth Crematorium, Ogden Chapel, TW13 5JH Donation in John's memory are being sent to Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital.
