A special thanks to the Beatson, McMillan nurses, medical support at home from his family doctors and his chemist in Merkins Avenue, Bellsmyre. We are so grateful for the dedicated care from the community nurses who ensured Alec could spend his final days at home with Bernie and his family. A special thanks to Rev Ian Miller for his uplifting service and spiritual comfort. We were all heartened by the wonderful tributes from the people of Renton who lined that mile long Main Street to applaud Alec on his final journey and his workmates in Morrisons who showed how much they cared with their minute's applause In Alec's own words you are all legends.
