JosephGASKINMr Joseph Gaskin, devoted father of Joseph, Daniel, and Liam, dedicated grandfather of Joseph, beloved son of Letitia and the late Joseph Gaskin, brother of Paul, Tony, and Angela, brother-in-law of Sean, uncle of Christopher and Gemma, died in hospital on Wednesday, October 13, aged 61. Joe, as he was known, is remembered by many as a kind, funny, charitable, and social man, whose laugh was contagious, and will remain in our hearts for ever. Joe’s funeral will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, October 29, at 3pm. Joe’s family welcomes you to join them for a celebration of Joe’s life and to say goodbye, followed by a gathering of friends and family at The Peel Park Hotel on Turkey Street, Accrington. Family flowers only please; donations if desired to Sense or The Salvation Army, two charities with which Joe worked closely. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.

Just seen this on the internet and was very saddened to here this. Due to a rapid change in domestic and work circumstances, I quickly left the area in Sept 97. Due to lack of time and transport never got back to Accy to pay a visit and keep in touch. I very much regret this. I will always remember our day trip to Blackpool where you introduced me to the delights of draught Guinness which I still enjoy. Also our other jaunts up Darwen Tower and canal walk to Burnley. Plus all the nights round Accy especially "The Block". You were a great friend. R.I.P. Ken.
