I owe a great deal to Armando for the opportunities he gave me and others at RHUL. I am ever grateful for the work we did, and the friend he was to me. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing, it was a privilege to have known him. I did not know him long, but he had a great and lasting impact on my life and education. He was kind, funny and inspiring - he will be sorely missed.
