Special thanks to the carers, nurses and doctors who looked after Ken throughout his illness, particularly St Oswald's Hospice. Thanks to Major Nigel Gotobed for conducting the funeral service. Thank you for the donations in lieu of flowers which totalled ?250 for The Salvation Army and Freemason Charities in Newcastle. Thanks also to Ian Richardson and Coop Funeralcare, Benwell House, for the funeral arrangements.
