JanetFRANCISJanet Francis, of Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 4, aged 59. A familiar face in Hyndburn and Blackburn, Janet couldn’t go anywhere without having to stop for a chat, or to say hello to someone she knew. After many years working for the Halifax, Janet took early retirement in 2016 in order to look after her late parents, Nora and Jim. With a lifelong interest in music, she was a keen reader, and a passionate supporter of Blackburn Rovers. Janet leaves behind her much loved son Lee, daughter-in-law Vicky, and treasured Grandson Oliver. A service of Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary’s RC Church, Oswaldtwistle, on Wednesday, April 20, at 10am, led by Fr Sean O’Brien, followed by committal at the crematorium in Accrington at 11.40am. Family flowers only, with donations if desired to the Alzheimer’s Society c/o funeral director Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
