JoanFOSTERJoan Foster, of Queens Road, Accrington, passed away peacefully at her home on January 11, aged 80 years. She was the dearly loved wife of Raymond, devoted mother of Geoffrey, mother-in-law of Ann Marie and precious grandmother to Ben. Joan was a wonderful seamstress, making lots of clothes for herself and her husband. She also enjoyed handicrafts, especially card making and cross stitch. Along with her husband Raymond, they enjoyed family holidays including visiting their son in Canada and travelling through the Rockies on the famous ‘Rocky Mountaineer’. For the past 10 years they have spent three months each year holidaying in Portugal. Joan also liked watching soaps on TV, caravanning throughout the UK and also sequence dancing which took them all over the country. A service will take place on Thursday, January 26 at Accrington Crematorium Chapel at 3pm, conducted by Debra Phillips. Family flowers only, donations to East Lancs Hospice or Marie Curie.
