Alvar BurtonFITCHIt is with sadness we announce the passing of ALVAR BURTON FITCH who died peacefully on Sunday 22 August after a long and brave battle. Aged 79, he was known to all as Al Fitch. A much loved father to Caron and Garry and his two grandchildren, Amy and Hugo. Who lived for his family, work and his vintage commercial vehicle hobbies. Coal Merchant, Bedford expert and enthusiast, a true gentleman and legend to all he met and will be sadly missed by everyone. Due to current restrictions, attendance at the service will be by invitation only. Family flowers only, donations if desired to St Ann's Hospice, Heald Green. Really sorry to read this. I’ve lived very near to Al for a few years and he was an absolute pleasure to talk to and a wonderful neighbour. He always waved when I saw him and always had time to chat. A true gentleman.
