FARQUHARSONThe committal of Scott's ashes to the sea took place at H.M Naval Base Clyde, Helensburgh on 6th May 2010.The service was conducted by the Reverend Andrew Allcock RN. Scott's widow and family would now like to most sincerely thank all who attended the funeral service, conducted by the Reverend Bruce Thomson, at Perth Crematorium on 3rd November 2009. The vast number present included relatives. friends, colleagues from Perth Grammer School and people from the sporting world. Scott's lifelong passion for football, both as a player at home and abroad and as an organiser and motivator of the sport, was reflected in the huge attendance by representatives from junior football throughout Scotland along with committee members and players, past and present, from Scone Thistle Football Club. The occasion was made even more memorable by the spectacular floral tributes from "Scone Thistle." Sincere thanks are also due to Jamie Pennycook of James McEwan & Son for all his help in arranging the funeral in Perth and for playing an important part in the preparations for the committal of Scott's ashes to the sea.
