Edward GeorgeDINHAM(Eddie) 29.09.1912 - 22.02.2008 The family are deeply sad to announce the death of 'Eddie', beloved husband of the late 'Jinny', devoted father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by his daughter Marilyn and husband Donald, his son Eric and wife Marilyn, and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who had so much fun with him, and his nephews and nieces. Our father was a character and a well respected gentleman, who brought laughter into everyone's life, and for this we wish to remember him. We would like to thank all his friends for their friendship to Eddie over the years, and their best wishes sent to him when he was not well. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at Prince Charles Hospital on Friday February 22 age 95 years young, and we would like to thank the staff on Ward 9, Prince Charles Hospital for the love shown to Dad during his short stay on their ward. Thanks to Alison, and everyone at Kevin Ryan Court, Georgetown for their companionship and friendship. Thanks to David Protheroe for officiating at a celebration service for my father's life, also to Eric who gave a very poignant and humourous Eulogy. Thanks to everyone who attended the service at Tabernacle and later at Llwydcoed. For the messages of condolences, and sympathy cards with very touching tributes to our father. Thanks to Margaret at Merthyr Con Club for the buffet and Ann's Flowers. Donations of over £400 will be shared between the Cardio Pulmonary Unit, Prince Charles Hospital and the local MacMillan Nurses. Dad, you brought happiness to everyone, even to the end. To us you were one in a million, you've left happy memories for us all. We will always miss you, together again with Mam. Goodnight, God bless.
