BarryDAWSONMr Barry John Dawson, of Church, Accrington, passed away peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, July 26, aged 77, just six days after the funeral of his beloved wife Maureen, to whom he was married for 52 years, and they were seldom apart. Barry was the much loved father of Jane and Derek, a devoted grandad and great-grandad to nine, and special grandad to Ellie, whom he saw most often. He was a brother to Brian, Pete, Clive, Martin, Valerie, Sheila, and Ann. He was also a dear father-in-law, brother-in-law, and good friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed helping out at VICS charity, and watching football on TV. He loved the music of Elvis Presley, and passed the love of this music onto his granddaughter Ellie. Along with his late wife Maureen, daughter Jane, son-in-law David, and granddaughter Ellie, they enjoyed many happy holidays all over the UK. The funeral will be held on Monday, August 15, at 1pm at Accrington Crematorium Chapel, led by Rev Hugh Scriven.
