My sympathies to all who are hurting now, I hope that in time the good memories will outweigh the sad.
Glyn was a lovely uncle to have, always witty and bright. I remember especially fondly table tennis matches at Christmases long ago in his garage with his family and ours.
I am sorry he suffered such a cruel illness. I know he bore it with bravery, dignity and, remarkably, good humour. I am sorry my short term cooking contract (as he described it!) had to come to an end but it was a pleasure making a few things, especially the sorbets, for him. He was gracious in his thanks even at such an awful time. And as you see, still witty.
He will live on not only in our memories but also in his three children. I know all have been incredibly supportive, selfless and brave in the last few weeks and months (and not bad beforehand either ;)). And he will also live on in his lovely grandchildren, who have been amazing too. Respect!
Love from Carolyn (and family) xx
