GuyCURTISOn the morning of Tuesday, January 18, Guy Jonathan Curtis passed away unexpectedly at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, with his son and brother at his side, aged 62. Guy leaves his children, Danielle, Joe and Ellie, his grandchildren, Anthony and Vanessa, his mum Molly and siblings Bruce, Jemma and the late Melanie. Guy leaves behind many good friends and family who will miss him dearly. Guy was devoted to his dog Moses, who he spent much of his day with, whether that was for walks around the local countryside or car journeys with Guy when running errands. Guy undertook a mechanical apprenticeship at Warburtons after school. He continued to use these skills throughout his life, most recently when building his trike, Vera. Guy was an exemplary artist, and was encouraged by his teachers to go to art college. He used these skills when drawing up mechanical diagrams or conceptualising projects made from wood. Guy loved to collect antiques, a passion which he turned into a career when running his shop on Warner Street. In the last year, Guy returned to working on motorway maintenance. From this, he began making TikTok videos, to which he amused many of his family and close friends. Guy will be dearly missed. Guy’s funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, February 4 at 2.20pm. Family flowers only please; donations in memory of Guy are being gratefully received on behalf of British Heart Foundation c/o champfunerals.com/obituaries Funeral director: Champ Funeral Services, Clayton-le-Moors.
