Leonard MathewCRUICKSHANKIt is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mr Leonard Mathew Cruickshank MBE. Leni sadly passed away on 29th December 2022 aged 77 years surrounded by his partner and family. A community focused man that fought hard to better people's lives; he founded and managed "Diggers "which trained thousands in landscape gardening ,improved access to nature and animals with the first city farm and fish rearing park in Liverpool. He worked to promote education in all its forms, from the blind school to Liverpool's rich and varied history. He was recognised both nationally and internationally for his services to communities. He was a fanatical fisherman and lifelong Everton fan. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and contribution to the Liverpool folk music scene where he played guitar with many of his best pals. He will be greatly missed by his loving partner Linda, family and friends Funeral Service to take place at St Dunstan's Church Earl Road on Friday 24th February 2023 at 12.30 followed by Interment at Toxteth Cemetery at 2pm.Donations in Leni's memory may be made to Musicians Benevolent Fund and L8 Matters.
