William MauriceCOTTRELLAfter a brief illness, Maurice, age 91 years, passed peacefully in Warwick Hospital on 11th August. Devoted husband of the late Joyce Cottrell to whom he was married for 66 years, much loved Dad to Neil, Fiona, Nicky and Jacq. Precious Grandad to Sean, Joshua, Bryony, Joe, Chrissie, Ryann, Cameron, Jason, Katie, Jasper and Fin and eighteen great grandchildren.
Maurice was a Consultant Psychiatrist at St Edwards Hospital in Cheddleton from 1970 to 1993, a playing member of Leek Hockey Club, a member of Leek Rotary Club and, a keen fly fisherman. After retiring he travelled extensively with Joyce on cruises, attending three day event horse trials around the country and internationally visiting family in Canada and Australia.
Maurice will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
