JanetCOTTAMOn Saturday, January 15, peacefully in a private care home, Janet Lavinia, aged 70, of Accrington. The much loved and loving wife of Peter, devoted mum of Adam, Scott and Sally, also a dear mother-in-law of Viola and Emma, loved daughter of Mildred and the late Albert, and a loved sister, sister-in-law, auntie, and dear friend to many. Janet spent her working life in nursing, and spent several years at the Esme Unit at Accrington Victoria Hospital. Janet loved looking after others and always put them first. Janet was full of compassion and selfless. She was also an amazing homemaker and made the tastiest stews, and also loved knitting and making clothes. She was very creative and gifted with her hands. She thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, and each year loved their walking holiday in the Lake District. The Rock’n’Roll era was her absolute favourite; the music touched her soul and she was a super jiver. Janet also enjoyed reading a good crime or romance novel. Her home and family were the centre of her world and every moment spent with them was kept firmly in her heart.
