It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Cooper, who died peacefully on 1 August 2025 at Myton Hospice, Coventry, after a short but brave fight with cancer in the form of a glioblastoma. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments.
Barry was the devoted husband of 52 years to his beloved wife, Maureen, and a proud, much-loved father to Sarah, Jennifer, Joanne, and Michael. His greatest joy was his family, and he was a cherished grandfather to Jack, Logan, Benjamin, Drew, Jessie, Freya, Harry, Charlie, Elsie, and Alba.
A man of warmth, humour, and unwavering kindness, Barry touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his love of family gatherings, and the quiet strength with which he faced life’s challenges.
Barry’s family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Myton Hospice for their compassionate care in his final days.
His legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered, always.
Funeral service to be held on Monday 1st September 2025 at Canley Crematorium in the Charter Chapel at 10:45am.
