CyrilCOLEIt is with great sadness we announce the death of Cyril aged 75. Darling husband of Kathleen. Dearest Dad to Rosie & Jenny, father-in-law to Tony & William. Precious Grandad to Briony, Tara & Ryan. He was a wonderful farmer, an award winning wildlife conservationist & much sought after water diviner. He was loved by all and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Due to the present restrictions it has to be a private cremation, with a memorial service for all to attend at a later date. Any donations in his memory will be shared between Devon Air Ambulance Trust & Farming Community Network please send cheques to J Westacott & Son Funeralcare, 2a West Street, South Molton, EX36 4DG

What a wonderful legacy..Seeing the tribute to Cyril at the end of the episode of Devon and Cornwall..made me cry..I thought what a lovely man ..He said you arrive with nowt and leave with nowt..what’s really important is what you leave behind..he has been true to his words and will be remembered by future generations for his endeavours and his morals..
All the best to his family from Sharon 😌..a London Lady inspired and humbled by such Legends to the landscape ..to…creativity ..to nurturing and caring …for not wanting nowt more than that ..Bless his Soul 🙏

I have just watched Cyril on the TV and thought that he was marvelous. I was so sad when I saw at the end that he had passed away. A truly wonderful chap. X x x

What a true gent of the countryside . Just watched the episode of Cyril and was really saddened to learn of his passing. He leaves a wonderful legacy that will continue and something we can all learn from.

So sorry to learn of Cyril's passing. Obviously I never met the man but wish I had. Everybody looking at the fields around Cornwall will always remember him now. God bless
