I cherished the friendship of Carole as just a small acquaintance, but always a friendly chat, and was always pleased to see you. A very kind and caring. My husband spent many a happy hour with Carole's Dad caring for his garden and doing odd jobs. R I P Carole xxx

Carol Clifford was indeed a lovely lady as Mr. Halley says. I had the honor of being her friend for nearly 50 years. We met in June of 1976 on the Dalmatian Coast and travelled with friends through Greece. Over the years we kept in touch and always visited whenever I was in the UK. Carole was loyal and true to her many friends around the world. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, taking care of her father for many years. Though she was always modest, the Carole I knew was adventurous, once sailing in a small craft across the Indian Ocean from Australia and up the African coast to Suez. She loved to travel, visiting many countries. She loved her home and beautiful garden and would take us on wonderful visits to Cotswold villages and gardens whenever we visited. I so cherish our last meeting in late May of 2025 when we lunched with friends at the Ashmolean restaurant. Little did we know how soon she would leave us. We all miss her sorely.
