JohnCLEAVERMr John Thomas Cleaver, of Huncoat, died at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Thursday, June 9, aged 87. Husband of his late wife Peta and brother of the late Margaret, he leaves children Dave, Kerry, and Pete, daughter-in-law Carole, grandchildren Louise, Melanie, and Dave, great-grandchildren Emily, Isabelle, Daniel, Samuel, and Emma, and sisters Jean, Theresa, and Maureen. The funeral will take place on Monday, June 27 at 2.20pm at Accrington Crematorium. John spent most of his life working for GEC Engineering at Clayton-le-Moors until made redundant, then worked for Platt Saco Lowell, Accrington, until retirement. He was a member of the Canine Club in Accrington for many years. He watched Burnley FC for many years, and also loved watching cricket at Accrington Cricket Club. He loved walking in his early years in the Lake District with Peta, and loved his allotment and growing his own tomatoes and vegetables.
